- Bifidobacteria are largely present in the large intestine. They help to mediate carbohydrate fermentation in the large intestine and contribute to the production of important short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs).
Although they are the most abundant genus present in the guts of healthy infants, Bifidobacteria concentrations decrease as individuals age, with greatest declines observed in the elderly.
Adults take one (1) capsule 1 - 3 times per day, or as directed by a health care practitioner.
For children (4-6 years old): Open up the capsule(s), and take as powder.
For 0-3 years olds: Mix powder with liquid.
Take at least 2-3 hours away from the use of antibiotic(s).
