Not all doses are administered the same way. The group taking the higher dose (2.5 g) experienced the most significant changes.
Their cortisol levels dropped by 19%, and levels of a key inflammatory protein (IL-6) fell by 33%. This suggests that the benefits of omega-3s increase with the right amount and that low doses may not be sufficient to make a significant difference.

Only the high-dose omega-3 group showed significant protection against the stress-related drop in telomerase and the anti-inflammatory protein IL-10.
Meanwhile, in the placebo group, telomerase levels decreased by 24%, and IL-10 levels fell by 20%. This illustrates how stress can damage our repair systems unless the body is properly supported.
