Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a naturally occurring coenzyme and is critical for its integral functions such as transport of electrons across the mitochondrial membrane to aid cellular respiration and production of ATP. Without coQ10, the chain of cellular energy is broken and without energy which impairs cellular function. CoQ10 levels decrease with age and are even lower in during different ailments.
